Initial ideas for music video (Courtney + Ben)

We started off by looking at the lyrics for our song, 'Alive' by Empire of the sun. We brainstormed a load of different ideas abut what the narrative could possibly be and our aim was to link it to the lyrics as much as possible because we wanted there to be a link between the two. The first thing that we came to a decision on was the fact that we are going to have the verses as narrative and the chorus as performance, we believed that this would provide a good mixture of the two different elements. Both the narrative section and the performance sections in the music video are set in a forest, but in different sections The main part of the narrative is going to be about a stereotypical British explorer, The explorer is on a quest to find something and we as the audience follow him on his journey throughout the music video.     

Music video target audiences questionnaire results analysed (Courtney)

Below are the results for the questionnaire our group conducted. Overall we decided to ask around 11 people from a few different age categories to get a range of different results.

The results from this questionnaire will help us to target the right audience for our chosen genre within out music video. By knowing hat they expect to see within a music video from this genre will help us when it comes to knowing what to put in our video.

This it the questionnaire that we developed as a group to gather more research on out target audience. we need to research into how big out target audiences is and what people expect to see within a music video from that genre. By doing this research we will be able to incorporate some of these ideas into our music video, this will help us to make sure that the music video includes the right content to attract out target audience.
