From looking at the different music videos from Empire of the sun there a some similarities and differences.

Walking on a dream

• Uses very extravagant costumes.
• Slow paced editing
• Very performance based - not a lot of narrative
• A lot of different shots - however, they all appear to be from the same angle
• very static - not a lot of movement from the artists
• A variety of different locations
• Uses a lot of cross dissolve transitions

We are the people

• More narrative then performance
• However, has an element of performance 
• Variety of different shots and angles
• Extravagant costumes 
• Uses quite a few different editing techniques
•  Has a variety of different locations.

• Uses a lot of different locations
• Faster editing pace - cut to the beat
• Extravagant costumes - one more colourful than the other
• A range of different angles
• Loads of different shots
• Uses a variety of different editing techniques
